Jerry's solo recording:
Boogie Woogie Bullfrog
Parent's Choice Gold Award winner Jerry Zee has appeared on the FOX Network, various children's radio programs and has toured schools throughout the eastern United States. His music has even been heard on a program in Spain! An accomplished singer-songwriter and musician, Jerry has toured the U.S. with a number of bands featuring a wide variety of musical styles including bluegrass, blues, rock, country and comedy. Many years of teaching children and his musical experience has created an engaging entertainer whose emphasis is learning through fun and humor. The best thing about his CD "Boogie Woogie Bullfrog" is the overall exuberance. From calypso to rock and bullfrogs to clowns, Jerry Zee's original weird and wacky songs entice kids to dance and sing to a variety of musical styles. Many talented musicians and vocalists contribute to make a sound so full your ears are compelled to travel from venue to venue. This engaging performer more than delivers on the CD cover's promise of "fun songs for kids."
"The second best thing about Jerry Zee's debut recording is the variety: rock, ragtime, ballad, calypso, bluegrass--you name it. The best thing? The overall exuberance!...Mr. Zee covers all the bases: I'm a Clown is an echo song that taps the jester in all of us; Love the Earth teaches environmental awareness to a reggae beat; The Season Song paints vivide pictures of the changing seasons; Boogie Woogie Bullfrog is a call and response song about a very cool Prince of the Pond...Don't be surprised if mom and dad pop this one in the tape deck even when the kids aren't in the car."

Jerry Zee entices young ones to dance and sing with a variety of contemporary musical styles: country/western, circus band, calypso, bluegrass, New Orleans blues ("Everybody has a swing in their yard, except me."), soft-shoe, rock & roll (with a guest "appearance" by Ed Sullivan), and lullaby. A kids chorus and many top instumentalists and vocalists contribute to make a sound so full, your ears are compelled to travel from venue to venue. All the songs are original, with topics that include loving the earth, celebrating the four seasons, barnyard humor with sing-a-long animal sounds, the wonders of the sea, takeoffs on fairy tales, dancing tunes, finding a new friend, and a lullaby. It's a catchy collection that will have your young ones tearing up the rug.

From Reggae to Rock and bullfrogs to clowns, Jerry Zee's new album of 10 weird and wacky songs covers just about all the styles of music and types of subject matter anyone could righfully expect in one production. This engaging performer more than delivers on the CD cover's promise of "fun songs for kids." But with the contagious rhythm of songs like, "Bop 'Til You Stop," or the album's title song, we older folks will be turning up the volume as well.
Boogie Woogie Bullfrog by Jerry Zee (3 to 8). I get so many dogs, but this month I got two glorious bullfrogs! Jerry Zee's is rockin', rollin', simple, tuneful, gentle, fun, stylish, and well-designed for children and their parents. It starts with the irresistible call and response title song, and ends with a gentle lullaby. A great choice for great children. (*****)
